Dragons to Recognize Academic All-Star Hailey Duncan on April 26

DAYTON, Ohio -- The Dayton Dragons Academic All-Star program presented by Edison State Community College will recognize Hailey Duncan as an Academic All-Star during pregame festivities of the Dragons game on Saturday, April 26 against the West Michigan Whitecaps at Day Air Ballpark located in the heart of the Water Street District. The game will start at 1:05 PM.

Prior to Saturday’s game, Duncan will be honored on the field and presented with a $1,000 scholarship from the Dayton Dragons Foundation.

Duncan plans to continue her education at Edison State Community College after graduating high school to pursue an associate’s degree in biology. She then plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in marine biology. Duncan dreams of being an ocean photographer someday.

Duncan chose to participate in Edison State’s College Credit Plus program due to the accessibility of the program at her school. Several teachers are qualified to teach college credit classes on-site at Duncan’s school, and she is very thankful for the opportunity to earn college credits at no cost to her without ever stepping foot out of her school building.

The Dragons will recognize five Academic All-Stars in 2025. Each All-Star is a College Credit Plus Student at Edison State Community College. College Credit Plus (CCP) offers a unique opportunity for students still in high school to enhance and further their educational and career objectives. CCP students can earn college and high school credit concurrently, accelerating their college careers at no cost.
