In the first inning, Trei Cruz led off with a triple against Baysox starter Blake Money. Max Anderson hit an RBI double, giving Erie a 1-0 lead.
In the third inning, Jim Jarvis led off with a walk against Money. Cruz followed with an RBI double, scoring Jarvis to make it 2-0. Thayron Liranzo lined a single to center to score Cruz, making it 3-0. Anderson hit another double to send Liranzo to third. With two out, Justice Bigbie drove a three-run homer to make it a five-run inning for Erie and a 6-0 lead. Bigbie homered for a second straight game.
Kenny Serwa faced one over the minimum in his five-inning outing. He allowed one hit and no walks while striking out five in five scoreless frames.
Reed Trimble tripled in the eighth inning against Ryan Boyer and scored on Doug Hodo’s sacrifice fly, making it 6-1.
Serwa (3-0) has won all three of his starts with Erie. Money (0-1) took the loss in his Double-A debut.
The SeaWolves continue their series with Chesapeake on Wednesday at 1:05 p.m. with Jaden Hamm facing Ryan Long.
