The Mariners have landed 3 prospects on the American League roster: switch-pitcher Jurrangelo Cijntje, catcher Harry Ford and outfielder Lazaro Montes. Three is tied for most in the Majors with the Detroit Tigers.
“It’s a tremendous honor for us to have three players selected to the Futures Game,” said Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto. “Harry, Laz, and Jurrangelo are three of the most unique prospects in baseball and we are all looking forward to seeing them represent the M’s in Atlanta.”
Cijntje (AquaSox 2025)), 22, is ranked as the Mariners top pitching prospect and notably throws from both the left and right side. The #8 overall prospect in the organization and #84 prospect across MLB was selected by the Mariners in the 1st round (15th overall) of the 2024 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Mississippi State University.
In his first professional season, Cijntje has appeared in 15 games (12 starts) with High-A Everett, going 4-4 with a 4.88 ERA (28 ER, 51.2 IP) with 58 strikeouts and 31 walks.

Ford (AquaSox 2023) will get to play in the Futures Game in his home state of Georgia, where he attended North Cobb High School in Kennesaw. The Mariners selected the right-handed hitting catcher in the 1st round (12th overall) of the 2021 MLB First-Year Player Draft. This is Ford’s third consecutive Futures Game appearance.
