Iowa finally broke the scoreless game in the bottom of the sixth as Chase Strumpf drove in James Triantos for the 1-0 lead and the win.
Keegan Thompson earned his fourth win of the season as he worked 1.2 scoreless innings and struck out two in the process.
Rehabber Jameson Taillon made his third start with the I-Cubs and finished the day in 5.1 scoreless innings, allowed two hits and struck out four.
