Wichita, KS – The Tulsa Drillers are playing their best baseball so far this season, as they matched their longest winning streak on Friday night. Tulsa earned its sixth consecutive victory by setting a new season high with 18 hits, with the biggest inning being a six-run fourth. The big inning was backed by an outstanding start by Adam Serwinowski in a 14-2 final over the Wichita Wind Surge at Equity Bank Park.
Serwinowski picked up his second win of the season by working the most innings by a Tulsa pitcher this season and setting a new season high with 10 strikeouts.
The win also clinched the Drillers fifth series win of the season. Tulsa also took a 4-0 lead in the 2026 edition of the Coors Light Propeller Series.
For the third consecutive game, Kendall George began the game with a single. He quickly stole second base and scored when Josue De Paula and Zyhir Hope both singled, giving the Drillers a 1-0 lead.
Wichita responded to tie the game in the bottom of the second when two hits, a walk and a wild pitch allowed Murphy Stehly to score.
Tulsa went back in front to stay by scoring twice in the third. With one out, De Paula drew a walk, and Elijah Hainline followed with a home run to put Tulsa up 3-1.
The Drillers benefited from two errors in their big fourth inning. After Sean McLain drew a one-out walk, a throwing error and a fielding error loaded the bases. Hainline then delivered a two-run double that scored McLain and George. Two batters later, Griffin Lockwood-Powell singled to drive in Tulsa’s seventh run. Joe Vetrano capped the inning with a two-run triple to put the Drillers out front 9-1.
Two more runs scored in the sixth inning on Kyle Nevin’s double and Vetrano’s RBI groundout.
Serwinowski completed seven innings to record his second quality start this season, allowing only one run on three hits and two walks. He also struck out ten Wind Surge hitters and retired the final 16 batters faced.
With a position player pitching in the ninth inning, Tulsa scored its three final runs on De Paula’s two-run double and Hainline’s sacrifice fly.
