MLB Pipeline released its Top 100 Prospects list in late January, but that didn't mark the end of rankings season. With Spring Training well underway, our team-by-team Top 30s have been unveiled.
Our rollout began with the AL and NL East on Monday and the Central Divisions on Tuesday. We're wrapping things up with the AL and NL West.
Our Jim Callis, Jonathan Mayo and Sam Dykstra work alongside various beat reporters to create these lists and write scouting reports with feedback from scouts and front-office members around the league. The rankings continue to evolve over the season as players graduate and expectations change due to play or other considerations.

All players with rookie eligibility qualify for our rankings, with the exception of foreign professionals -- players who are at least 25 years old and have played in a foreign league for at least six seasons. For that reason, Roki Sasaki is included on the Dodgers' list but Hyeseong Kim is not.

AMERICAN LEAGUE WEST
Angels
If not for a late-season injury, Christian Moore would have likely been the second consecutive Angels first-rounder to reach the Majors the same year he was drafted following Nolan Schanuel in 2023. A majority of the system's top prospects have come via the Draft and international market, accounting for 25 of the 30 players. The Halos have been especially active globally, with 14 of their Top 30 prospects international signees, led by Joswa Lugo. The large volume of international prospects is a big reason why the Angels' Top 30 average age is the youngest in baseball. More »

Astros
It's the dawn of a new era for Houston, which enters 2025 with a new No. 1 prospect after picking up Cam Smith in the offseason Kyle Tucker deal with the Cubs. A solid flow of homegrown talent continues to help fuel the Astros, who reached the postseason for the eighth consecutive year in 2024. The organization has not ranked higher than 27th since MLB Pipeline began ranking farm systems biannually in 2020, but it enters the new campaign with its best crop of positional prospects in quite some time with Smith and Brice Matthews leading the charge. Athletics
Several of the A's top prospects graduated last year, temporarily weakening a system that has done a nice job of cultivating talent through the Draft in recent years. But the number of prospects on the cusp of helping the big club as soon as this season provides the organization with more optimism. Jacob Wilson got a taste of the Majors in 2024 and last year's first-rounder Nick Kurtz very well might follow him in 2025. Mariners
If you're looking for some of the best positional prospects in the game, check out the Pacific Northwest. After watching a host of elite pitching prospects reach The Show, the Mariners enter 2025 with seven Top 100 prospects -- all hitters. While Colt Emerson and Lazaro Montes are likely a season or two away from reaching Seattle, others could make an impact far sooner, including Cole Young and Harry Ford. With some intriguing pitching prospects getting their feet wet on the lower end of the Top 30, the Mariners have put together a deep and talented crop that should continue to feed players to the big league roster. Rangers
Less than two years removed from winning its first World Series title, Texas is banking on better health in 2025, although an aging rotation will need help. Luckily for the Rangers, a number of their pitching prospects grew by leaps and bounds last season. Kumar Rocker made a successful return from Tommy John surgery and put together three impressive late-season starts for the big league club. Fellow first-rounder and former Vanderbilt teammate Jack Leiter claimed Triple-A Pacific Coast League pitcher of the year honors and also reached the Majors, albeit with less success. More »

NATIONAL LEAGUE WEST
D-backs
Arizona isn't bereft of pitching prospects, it's just that their crop of hitters is so good and deep it dominates the Top 30. Led by Jordan Lawlar, who will be looking to return to the Majors after an injury-ravaged season, 20 of the D-backs' top prospects swing the lumber. First-rounders Druw Jones and Tommy Troy still figure prominently in the organization's future plans, although both have gotten off to slower-than-expected starts to their pro careers. Jones, however, rebounded from a poor debut in 2023 to post an .814 OPS in his first full-season campaign last year. More »

Dodgers
Sequels don't always live up the hype, but the Dodgers appear to have unlocked the magic formula to sustained success as they look to become the first back-to-back World Series champions since the Yankees won three consecutive titles from 1998-2000. The addition of MLB's No. 1 overall prospect Roki Sasaki was the cherry on top of a system that routinely ranks among the best in the sport. Drafting, international signings and shrewd trades have helped net the Dodgers six Top 100 prospects, several of whom (Sasaki, Dalton Rushing, Alex Freeland) will or can be expected to contribute as soon as this season. Giants
Success from first-rounders has eluded the Giants for the better part of a decade, but a new front office led by former MVP Buster Posey and some intriguing talent has the club optimistic heading into 2025 and beyond. Bryce Eldridge is a premier power threat and should find himself in San Francisco at some point this year. Outfielder Dakota Jordan and southpaw Joe Whitman are two promising recent picks, and the Giants’ international department has also been productive. More »

Padres
San Diego has been one of the busier clubs in the trade market in the last year. A whopping dozen of 2024's Top 30 prospects are with different organizations while five more graduated, highlighted by NL Rookie of the Year runner-up Jackson Merrill. Even with the high turnover, the Padres still boast a strong contingent of young talent, headed by two of the top international prospects of recent years, teenagers Leo De Vries and Ethan Salas. Rockies
The excitement around top-ranked prospect Chase Dollander is real and so is his talent. The 2023 first-rounder has an excellent chance to break camp as a member of the Rockies' rotation and an eventual frontline starter after a dominating pro debut last year. Of course, offense has been a staple of Colorado's teams and there is plenty of that on the farm, topped by 2024 first-round pick Charlie Condon. More »

AMERICAN LEAGUE CENTRAL
Guardians
Cleveland's farm system is loaded up top with hitters, with nine of the top 10 prospects in the organization swinging a noisy bat. But there's plenty of talent en route on the mound too. The Guardians reinvigorated their farm system by spending a record $20.4 million in the 2024 Draft, led by No. 1 pick Travis Bazzana and a trio of prep righties: Braylon Doughty, Joey Oakie and Chase Mobley. Royals
Kansas City's 2024 first-rounder Jac Caglianone is the club's highest-ranking prospect since Bobby Witt Jr. in 2022. That was also the last year the Royals had as many Top 100 prospects as they do heading into 2025 (three). Kansas City's depth in the upper Minors could prove vital since they are expecting several prospects to contribute as they push to return to the playoffs. More »

Tigers
Detroit has developed one of the best farm systems in baseball, thanks to a mix of player development, heady trades, successful Draft picks and increased international emphasis. And there could be influxes of talent for years to come, since just 10 members of the club's Top 30 list have played at Double-A or above. Tigers president of baseball operations Scott Harris has reason to believe that will enable the club's contention window to extend beyond the two remaining years of ace Tarik Skubal's contract. Twins
Walker Jenkins once again headlines the Twins' farm system as the 20-year-old returns to Double-A (where he capped his fourth stop of the season last year), and he could soon emerge as the best prospect in the game. Behind him, Minnesota has amassed an intriguing collection of talent close to the Majors, from hitters like Emmanuel Rodriguez and Luke Keaschall to pitchers like Marco Raya and Andrew Morris. More »

White Sox
The White Sox set a Major League record with 121 losses in 2024, but the good news is that their farm system is one of the strongest in the league after the trading off of veterans. Included in their prospects on the Top 100 are the two best left-handed pitchers (Noah Schultz and Hagen Smith) and a pair of impressive catchers (Kyle Teel and Edgar Quero). More »

Brewers
Jackson Chourio graduated last season and became an NL Rookie of the Year finalist. Nevertheless, the Brewers have another hot prospect ready to take his place. Teen phenom Jesús Made has already established himself as MLB's top prospect from the 2024 international class and has perhaps the highest upside in a system full of toolsy players, from electric righty Jacob Misiorowski to defensive studs Jeferson Quero and Cooper Pratt. Cardinals
The Cardinals have consistently built their clubs around homegrown talent, and a whopping 13 of the club's Top 30 prospects -- including five of their top six -- are expected to reach the Majors this season. Cubs
Not only do the Cubs have seven Top 100 prospects -- tied with the Mariners for the most -- but their top six prospects all reached Triple-A or the Majors. Finding room for all them on the big league club could be a challenge, but it's a good problem to have. It's also the club's largest collection of Minor League talent since 2015, when the newcomers made valued contributions to the 2016 World Series-winning team. More »

Reds
This is the fifth straight year that the Reds have entered the season with at least four Top 100 prospects. Pitchers currently lead the way after Cincinnati took Wake Forest righties with each of their past two first-round picks, but there's a ton of infield depth behind Chase Burns and Rhett Lowder, including Sal Stewart, Cam Collier and Edwin Arroyo. Blue Jays
While there may be uncertainty in the Toronto's organization as stars Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette enter the final years of their deals, the Blue Jays' farm system is looking up. Orioles
This is the first year since 2020 that the Orioles begin the year without one of baseball's two best prospects, but Baltimore still has plenty of top-end talent. Rays
Tampa Bay's farm system is overflowing with intriguing hitting prospects -- even beyond its quintet of Top 100 prospects. Yankees

Miami's new front office has quickly made over its farm system, and 19 members of the club's Top 30 weren't in the organization a year ago. Nationals
The next wave of Nationals stars has already begun arriving in the nation's capital as James Wood and Dylan Crews hit The Show last summer. Phillies
This marks the third straight season that Andrew Painter heads the Phillies' Top 30 Prospects list, but the difference in 2025 is that he's healthy and expected to reach the Majors.
