Hollie (Burlington) and Anderson (Pulaski) Receive POTW Honors

CHAPEL HILL, NC- The Appalachian League announced today that Minor League Baseball selected Burlington Royals outfielder David Hollie as Player of the Week and Pulaski Yankees right-handed pitcher Reid Anderson as Pitcher of the Week. Both awards recognize these players' performances for games during the week of July 15-21.

CHAPEL HILL, NC- The Appalachian League announced today that Minor League Baseball selected Burlington Royals outfielder David Hollie as Player of the Week and Pulaski Yankees right-handed pitcher Reid Anderson as Pitcher of the Week. Both awards recognize these players' performances for games during the week of July 15-21.

Hollie, 19, earned Player of the Week honors following a dominant five-game stretch. Hollie batted .467, with 4 home runs, 7 RBI, and scored 10 runs. David Hollie was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 37th round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of Cross Creek HS in Cross Creek, GA. Hollie spent last season with the Arizona League Royals.
Anderson, 23, earned Pitcher of the Week Honors after 2 phenomenal appearances in relief. Anderson pitched 9 innings over 2 games, gave up just 1 run and 2 hits. He struck out 11 batters and earned the win in both games in which he pitched. Anderson was drafted in the 40th round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the New York Yankees out of Brown University.
