Everett, WA - Joe Venturino went three-for-four with an unassisted double play in the Everett AquaSox (15-15) win against the Vancouver Canadians (17-13), 11-4, on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Everett Memorial Stadium.

After two singles by the Frogs, Onil Pena launched a three-run homerun giving the Frogs the early lead in the first inning, 3-0. Base hits by David Banuelos and Troy Dixon continued the Sox hitting attack. Ronald Rosario reached first base on a fielder's choice and a throwing error which allowed Banuelos to score, 4-0. Joe Venturino hit a double to right field that scored Rosario from second, 5-0.
NWL All-Star Andres Torres recorded three strikeouts in his first two innings of work.
The third pitcher of the game for the Canadians Brody Rodning, allowed two Frogs to score in the third inning by the way of two walks, a second Venturino double and Grebeck single, 7-0. The Sox extended their lead when Venturino crossed home plate on a fielder's choice double play, 8-0.
Venturino made an unassisted double play in the fourth inning to end the inning, 8-0.
The Sox put one more run on the board in the fourth inning by the way of a Banuelos single and two Vancouver errors, 9-0. Venturino crushed his third double of the game to left-center giving the Frogs a 11-0 advantage as they headed into the fifth inning.
Torres picked up another three strikeouts through the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings while only allowing six hits in six innings pitched.
Both the Canadians and Sox went scoreless through the seventh and eighth innings.
Fabian Roman allowed four runs to score in the ninth inning before Ted Hammond took over on the mound with one out, 11-4. Hammond struck out Barreto for the last out and the Canadians left the bases loaded to end the game. The Everett AquaSox defeated the Vancouver Canadians in the final game of the three-game series, 11-4.
