Former Mariners Catcher Dave Valle to Manage AquaSox in 2014

Cabrera and Steinmann round out Sox coaching staff

The Everett AquaSox announced their 2014 coaching staff on Wednesday. Dave Valle will make his managerial debut for the AquaSox in 2014, after spending 16 seasons with the Mariners broadcast team. Valle spent nine seasons as a catcher for the Mariners, and 21 seasons in professional baseball between the Mariners, Red Sox, Brewers and Rangers.

Nasusel Cabrera, who spent the last four seasons as pitching coach for the Pulaski Mariners, will be the AquaSox pitching coach. Cabrera also serves as the Latin American Pitching Coordinator for the Seattle Mariners. Shane Zdebiak will be the AquaSox team trainer, entering his first year with the Mariners organization.

2012 and 2013 AquaSox manager Rob Mummau will take over as manager for the Pulaski Mariners in the Appalachian League.

The Northwest League will begin its 60th season on June 13 as the AquaSox host the Hillsboro Hops for Opening Day 2014 at Everett Memorial Stadium. For more information on the 2014 season, please visit or call the AquaSox front office at 425-258-3673.
