Seattle Mariners GM Zduriencik to Speak at NWL All-Star Luncheon

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett AquaSox announced today that Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President and General Manager Jack Zduriencik will be the featured speaker at the 2013 Northwest League All-Star Luncheon, to be held on August 6 at Tulalip Resort Casino.

"We are delighted to have Jack Zduriencik as the keynote speaker for the All-Star luncheon," said Tom Backemeyer, Executive Vice President of the AquaSox, "We always enjoy working with the Mariners, and we know our fans will be excited to hear from Jack. It will be a great way to kick off this action packed 2013 All-Star event."

Zduriencik has served as GM for the Mariners since 2008, after spending ten years with the Milwaukee Brewers in roles that ranged from Director of Scouting to Special Assistant to the GM for Player Personnel. In 2007, Zduriencik became the first non-GM to receive Baseball America's Major League Executive of the Year Award.

The All-Star Luncheon, presented by Miller Lite and Mike's Hard Lemonade, will also feature the first chance for the public to meet and interact with the NWL All-Star players and coaches. There will be a silent auction benefitting the AquaSox Community Fund, and will include items from each of the Northwest League teams, as well as a game-worn, autographed Mike Zunino jersey from his time with the AquaSox. Tickets for the luncheon are on sale now for $55 per seat, or $400 for a table of eight.

The All-Star luncheon will kick off the 2013 NWL All-Star festivities, which will include an All-Star Fan Fest and autograph session, Home Run Derby and the league's first All-Star Game since 2004. This annual event will rotate between the Northwest League teams, and will not be back in Everett for eight years.
