Arkansas Travelers Rebrand Behind New Logos and Camo

New Horse Logo, First Ever Team Camo and a Legendary Omen
October 23, 2013

LITTLE ROCK, AR - October 23, 2013 - The Arkansas Travelers (Los Angeles Angels AA affiliate) unveiled their new identity program at Dickey-Stephens Park Wednesday. The new identity is part of a six-month creative overhaul of the Travs franchise.

This creative project has given us an amazing opportunity to freshen up one of the most iconic teams in Minor League Baseball's history. We are proud of the final product and are excited to share it with the Central Arkansas community. Travelers Baseball has been a part of Arkansans lives since 1901 and will continue to be, with a fresh face. -- Paul Allen, General Manager

The new identity pays tribute to the Travelers' 112 year-old storied tradition of being Arkansas's home state team.

The centerpiece of the identity is a new horse head chiseled from Arkansas State Capitol Building limestone. Several logos feature elements from the iconic Arkansas flag, and a new Sleeve Emblem marks the Travs 1901 foundation and the team's famous slogan, "Greatest Game on Dirt." Fans will also enjoy the inclusion of a legendary creature, an omen known to bringing good luck that will be released at a later date.

The new identity includes "Swamp Camo" a custom team camouflage featuring Arkansas Cypress Trees and sagegrass. The Travelers are the first professional sports team to develop their own custom camouflage. Travs Red, Majestic Maroon, Stone Gray and Swamp Black make up the club's new official colors.

The Travelers look was brought to life at Brandiose in San Diego, where they make teams famous by celebrating their brand stories. Partners Jason and Casey invented the first glow-in-the-dark on-field cap for the Casper Ghosts and the first on-field rally cap for the Altoona Curve. They dreamed up top selling logos for the Richmond Flying Squirrels, Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs and America's oldest baseball club, the Cincinnati Reds.

Jason and Casey are creative geniuses! They made this entire process of the identity refresh a blast and brought some outstanding ideas out of our staff. With the guidance and expertise of Jason and Casey our staff was able to create an identity that our fans are sure to be proud of. - Paul Allen, General Manager

The development process began last April when Jason and Casey met in Little Rock with fans, staff and community members to learn about the stories, history and personality of the Travs and Arkansas. Brandiose developed the logos and uniforms and is dreaming up enhancements for the 2014 fan experience.

"Since 1901, the Travs have been Arkansas's home state team, earning the reputation as the 'Greatest Game on Dirt,'" said Brandiose's Casey White. "From the namesake to the state flag, from the State Capitol Building to the legendary creature, the new look is a celebration of all things Arkansas."

The Travs will unveil their new uniforms featuring the team's Swamp Camo at a later date.

Merchandise featuring the Travs new look will be available on October 24th at Dickey-Stephens Park and online at www.Travs.com.
