North Little Rock, AR—An early deficit was too much to overcome for the Arkansas Travelers as they fell 7-1 to the Midland RockHounds on Thursday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. Midland starter Jeff Criswell dealt five innings and was in control, allowing just a run on two hits with a walk

North Little Rock, AR—An early deficit was too much to overcome for the Arkansas Travelers as they fell 7-1 to the Midland RockHounds on Thursday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. Midland starter Jeff Criswell dealt five innings and was in control, allowing just a run on two hits with a walk and seven strikeouts. He had an early lead to work with as they scored in the second inning and then put up for more runs in the third. Travelers starter Stephen Kolek was charged with all seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits over five-plus innings.

* Midland opened the third inning with three straight hits including two for extra bases to push their lead quickly to three.

* Arkansas had a chance to get back into the game late loading the bases with no one out in the seventh but they failed to score and remained down by six.
