North Little Rock, AR—Connor Jones fired eight shutout innings with eight strikeouts to earn his first win of the season as the Arkansas Travelers defeated the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 5-0 on Thursday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. North Little Rock, AR—Connor Jones fired eight shutout innings with eight strikeouts to earn his first win of the season as the Arkansas Travelers defeated the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 5-0 on Thursday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. Jones pitched a Travs season high eight innings dealing with at least one baserunner in every inning but never yielded and threw just 92 total pitches for the night. Zach DeLoach staked the Travs to an early lead driving a two-run triple to the base of the wall in left field in the opening inning. The Travs put the game away with a three-run eighth inning including a solo homer from Jake Scheiner and an RBI triple by Cade Marlowe.

Moments That Mattered

* The two-run triple by DeLoach cashed in a game opening hit batter and walk. It was one of just two hits allowed by Naturals starter Alec Marsh who struck out 10 over five innings.

* Connor Jones garnered three double play ground balls over the fourth through seventh innings keeping the Naturals at bay.
