ASHEVILLE- Entering the bottom of the second inning on Friday night, the Tourists were without a run over their last 15 innings played and trailing 2-0.
Kennedy pitched five innings to secure his second consecutive win.
The Tourists added a pair of insurance runs towards the latter stages of the game.
The Crawdads outhit the Tourists 11-7 in the game but Asheville worked six walks and had runners on base all game.
Asheville's homestand continues on Saturday night with the Augusta GreenJackets coming to town. The Tourists and the 'Jackets will play a four-game series with tomorrow night's contest scheduled for 6:05pm.
