GREENSBORO- The Asheville Tourists played some serious longball on Sunday afternoon in a 13-6 win over the Greensboro Grasshoppers. Asheville blasted six Home Runs in the win. It is the second most Home Runs the Tourists have hit in a game this season. Asheville hit seven in a win over Lexington on April 25th.
Bret Boswell began the scoring with a solo blast in the top of the first. Matt McLaughlin added an RBI single to the mix and Asheville led 2-0 after half an inning. Greensboro used a two-run Home Run in the bottom of the second to draw even; however, the Tourists scored the game's next six runs.

Casey Golden led off the top of the third with a Home Run to right-center. Later in the inning, Sean Bouchard lined a two-run Home Run over the left field wall. Bouchard finished the game a single shy of the cycle.
After the Tourists added an unearned run in the fourth, Todd Czinege made it 7-2 with a solo Home Run in the fifth. Boswell then hit his second Home Run of the game with two outs in the sixth.
The Grasshoppers plated three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to briefly make things interesting. Austin Moore came in and tossed a pair of shutout innings to slow down the Grasshoppers' comeback attempt.
In the eighth Golden struck again. The Siler City, NC native launched a tape-measure two run Home Run to left field and Asheville led 10-5. The Tourists added three more in the top of the ninth; two of which scored on a Ryan Vilade double to right.
Asheville totaled 15 hits in the game; ten of which went for extra-bases. Monday's contest between the Tourists and the Grasshoppers will begin at 7:00pm.
