Falcon Park, Doubledays to Host NCAA D-III Regional Baseball Tournament

The Auburn Doubledays, Single-A Short Season affiliate of the Washington Nationals, are proud to announce that they will be hosting the 2018 NCAA Division-III Regional Tournament at historic Falcon Park. The tournament will take place May 17-20 (21st if needed) and will feature 6 to 8 teams.


 


"We're very excited to be working with the Auburn Doubledays to host the NCAA Division III baseball regional," said Cortland State University Senior Associate Director of Athletics Tom Cranfield. "We've had great experiences with the Doubledays and the Auburn community in the past, and look forward to another great tournament this May. Falcon Park is a great facility that helps us provide a memorable experience for the student-athletes who've reached the pinnacle of their sport."


 


The Auburn Doubledays, along with the City of Auburn, are honored to host the Championship once again," general manager Adam Winslow stated. "The Division III Regional Tournament has a long history at Falcon Park in Auburn and the Doubledays are looking forward to hosting great college baseball to our city and surrounding communities."


 


Tickets for the tournament will be $3 general admission and $2 for children 12 and under for each game, and will be available on game day. 


 


Opening Round Schedule:


Thursday, May 17th: 10:00am 5. Baldwin Wallace v. 4. Swarthmore; 1:15pm 8. Westfield St. v 1. Cortland St.;  4:30pm 6. Amherst v. 3. Southern Maine; and 7:45pm 7. St. Joseph's (LI) v. Salisbury. Four more games Friday and Saturday each (same times). Championship game held Sunday afternoon.
