GREENVILLE, SC: After Monday's series opener was scheduled for a doubleheader on Tuesday because of rain, the weather continued to effect the schedule here in Greenville. Only one seven-inning game was played, and the GreenJackets found themselves on the wrong end of it. Greenville scored twice in the 4th and hung on for a 2-1 win to start the series.

Due to the later than scheduled start of Game 1 of the doubleheader, and South Atlantic League start time rules, Game 2 has been postponed and is schedule as a doubleheader when the Drive visit Augusta in May.
In the 3rd inning, after Sean Hjelle struck-out the side in the 2nd inning, Greenville picked up a run on an RBI-single for Kevin Suarez. Later in the inning, with Suarez on third-base, a wild pitch kicked off the catcher Andres Angulo for Augusta and Suarez came home and scored to make it a 2-0 lead for Greenville.
The GreenJackets would get the run back in the top of the 4th.. After Ismael Munguia doubled and was moved to third base on a groundout, Shane Matheny produced a run on a groundout to score Munguia.
Sean Hjelle finishes his night going five innings allowing just one run while picking up the loss. He struck-out four and walked only one batter.
The GreenJackets ran out of time as Brayan Bello threw five scoreless innings on the hill to get his first win of the year. Alex Demchak recorded the save with a three-up, three-down 9th inning to give the Drive a 2-1 win on Tueday night.
PLAYER OF THE GAME: Sean Hjelle, 5 IP, 2 ER, 4 SO-1 BB
The mid-90's fastball for Hjelle was working tonight, and when he struck-out the side in the 2nd inning, he showed why he's the 6th ranked prospect in the Giants Organization. After his first two starts, Hjelle has only walked one batter. Despite picking up the loss, his five innings tonight are the most he's thrown in a game for his pro career.
TOMORROW: 7:05 pm @ Fluor Field (Greenville, South Carolina)
Blake Rivera (0-0, 0.00 ERA) vs Hunter Haworth (0-1, 0.00 ERA)
After he was initially scheduled to start the series yesterday, Blake Rivera will finally make his first start of the year tomorrow against Greenville. Rivera is the 18th ranked prospect in the San Francisco Giants organization and spent 2018 with the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes.
Greenville will send out Hunter Haworth, the 22nd Round selection in the 2017 MLB Draft from Chico State University. In Haworth's first outing out of the bullpen on Opening Night, he went five innings without allowing a run but still picked up the loss.
