DANVILLE, VA.-  Burlington Royals RF Seuly Matias blasted his third home run of the season on a majestic shot in the seventh inning, but an inside-the-park home run from Danville Braves CF Isranel Wilson sent the Braves to a 4-3 win on Monday.

With the Royals trailing 3-2 heading to the top of the seventh, Matias stepped up and launched a 391-foot blast over the left field scoreboard in Danville to tie the game at 3-3. The tie was short-lived. In the bottom of the inning, with one out, Wilson came up and hit a ball off the very top of the center field wall. It bounced down to Royals CF Michael Gigliotti, who hustled to get the ball into the infield, but Wilson slid headfirst into home.

Burlington had taken a 1-0 lead in the first when SS Oliver Nunez singled, went to second on a wild pitch, and scored on an RBI double from 1B Dennicher Carrasco . Danville tied the game in the second on an RBI single from RF Raysheandall Michel , only to see Burlington retake the lead in the third. Gigliotti drew a leadoff walk, and went to second on a groundout. Matias singled Gigliotti home, the first of two RBI on the game for Matias.

The Braves seized a 3-2 lead a half-inning later on a bases-loaded walk to C Drew Lugbauer and a subsequent wild pitch.

Burlington squandered opportunities in the sixth and seventh, as the Royals left the bases loaded in the sixth, and put the go-ahead run at third with one out in the seventh yet failed to score.

Matias and Carrasco each finished the game with three hits apiece.

On the mound, RHP Yerelmy Garcia 's only run allowed in three relief innings was the Wilson home run. RHP Luis Alcantara worked a 1-2-3 eighth for the Royals as well.

The Royals return home on Wednesday to open a three-game series with the Elizabethton Twins at 7:00 p.m. RHP Carlos Hernandez (1-1, 1.98) starts for the Royals.
