BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham Barons are excited to welcome the Memphis Grizzlies 5th Annual Caravan Tour to Regions Field on August 18th when the Barons take on the Montgomery Biscuits with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT.
Grizzlies Guard/Forward Wayne Selden Jr. will be in attendance as well as Grizzlies mascot Grizz, the Grizz Girls and the Memphis Grizzlies Claw Crew. Selden Jr. will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game, sign autographs during the night, and the Grizz Girls will be with the Barons Power Team throughout the evening.
In addition to the appearance at the game, the Grizzlies will be hosting a Youth Basketball Clinic at Lifetime Fitness located at 3051 Healthy Way in Vestavia Hills from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Pre-registration is available and recommended on grizzlies.com/youthbasketball and will be capped at 100 participants. Regional Caravan Grizzlies Youth Basketball Clinics are open to boys and girls ages 7-14. The Grizzlies have again partnered with the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau to offer fans at each regional stop some amazing prizes. Fans will have the opportunity to win a "Weekend to Memphis Getaway Package" for two at each of the sports tour caravan stops by signing up for Grizzlies E-News. The package includes a two-night hotel stay at The Peabody Memphis, tickets to a predetermined Grizzlies game, Grizzlies swag and passes to local Memphis attractions.
