National Anthem Auditions Scheduled for March 24 at Regions Field

Local vocalists are encouraged to showcase their talent for 2014 Barons Season
February 25, 2014

The Barons are on the lookout for the leading vocal talents in the Birmingham-metro area. On Monday, March 24 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. the Barons will be hosting National Anthem auditions for the 2014 season at Regions Field. All interested candidates are invited to give their best rendition of the anthem for the opportunity to sing prior to a Barons home game this season.

"We are a community-driven operation and there's no better way for us to express that than to give the community a chance to participate in our operation. Singing the National Anthem at a Barons baseball game can be a memory-making experience." Barons General Manager, Jonathan Nelson said.

There is no registration fee for the audition, but candidates will need to fill out a registration form before auditioning. Please do not call the front office to set up an audition time. Candidates will have the opportunity to perform on a first-come, first-serve basis at Regions Field. Participants should arrive no later than 6:45 p.m.

At this time it is undecided how many spots will be available for the 2014 season, but National Anthem singers will receive two complimentary box seats to the game they are selected to perform.

For more information contact Barons' Special Events Coordinator Maeghen Pickett at (205) 988-3200, or send an email with the subject line "National Anthem" to [email protected].
