Mobile to Host 2015 Southern League All-Star Game

MOBILE, AL - The first half South Division Champion Mobile BayBears announced today that the Southern League Board of Directors has awarded Hank Aaron Stadium the privilege of hosting the 2015 Southern League All-Star Game.

"We are very excited to have the Southern League All-Star Game make its return to Mobile, Alabama," said BayBears General Manager Heath Bennett. "We're looking forward to seeing what this prestigious event can bring to the great city and community of Mobile as we get the opportunity to showcase some of the highest quality minor league talent in the country."

The Southern League All-Star game has seen many premiere players in recent years such as Joey Votto (2010 NL MVP), Clayton Kershaw (2011 NL CY Young), David Price (2012 AL CY Young), Evan Longoria (2008 Rookie of the Year, Prince Fielder (3-time Silver Slugger), and Miguel Cabrera (8-time All-Star, 2012 AL MVP, and 2012 AL Triple Crown Winner).

2015's event will mark the third time in franchise history for Hank Aaron Stadium to host the Southern League All-Star Game (1998, 2005). The game will be the centerpiece of several festivities that will take place during the All-Star Break. Dates and ticket information will be announced at a later date.
