New, Expecting Moms Rule in Bowie

May 13, 2013

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today Bellies & Baseball Night, an Expectant Mother's Celebration, at Prince George's Stadium, Friday, May 24, as the Baysox take on the Trenton Thunder at 7:05 p.m. The Baysox want to treat new and expecting mothers to a fun night of baseball with a special ticket package.

For $12, new and expecting moms get a reserved seat ticket, a seat cushion and access to the craving station that will include pickles, chocolate and plenty of the other crazy combinations women crave while pregnant. The rest of the family can get $12 reserved seat tickets, but they won't get to lounge in style like mom. When ordering tickets online at www.baysox.com, moms can use the special offer code BABY for their ticket package.

Promotions Manager Chris Rogers hopes this night will be a nice break for the pregnant women in the crowd. "I am told by reliable sources that being pregnant can be a challenging time and everyone with the Baysox feels we have the perfect respite. Instead of sending someone to the store to appease fickle cravings that inevitably disappear by the time your helper returns, we are bringing the whole range of sweet and salty foods to you. If you want pickles with your ice cream or chocolate on anything, all you have to do is take a few waddling steps down the main concourse and mix until you and your baby are content."

Not only will our guests of honor get to enjoy the game, they will also be able to watch unsuspecting fans experience some of their daily challenges through in-game promotions. Diapers, strollers and many of the other items moms must battle on a daily basis will be included.

Baysox Baseball - We'll Knock Your 'Sox Off. The Baysox 2013 season and 20th season of baseball at Prince George's Stadium is underway. Parking is free at every Baysox home game and tickets are available at www.baysox.com, or by calling the Baysox box office at (301) 464-4865.
