BELOIT, WI - The Beloit Snappers (16-17) held a three-run lead after five innings but gave up three two-run home runs down the stretch to lose 10-7 to the Cedar Rapids Kernels (15-18).
Beloit jumped on the board in the bottom of the second on a solo home run from Troy Johnston, his second of the year.

Cedar Rapids piled on four runs in the top of the third. The Snappers returned the favor with a four-run bottom of the fourth inning to make it 5-4, Snappers.
In the bottom of the fifth, Griffin Conine got a hold of a pitch and sent it nearly 440 feet to right-center field to give the Snappers a 7-4 lead after five.

Cedar Rapids rallied and scored six unanswered runs with a two-run home run in the sixth, seventh, and ninth innings to capture a 10-7 win.
Beloit's Top Performers: Conine went 1-for-2 with his ninth home run and two walks. Ricky Aracena was 2-for-3 with a triple and a walk. Thomas Jones went 2-for-5.
