BELOIT, WI - In an absolute stalemate at the plate, the Burlington Bees pulled off the 1-0 victory in a pitcher's duel against the Beloit Snappers Monday night. In fact, it took extra innings for a team to even get one run with the Snappers ending up on the wrong side of the scoreboard.

The game did not feature many hits at all, as in fact, there were only 6 hits between the two teams the entire game. That also led to a direct correlation in runs tonight as it took all the way until the tenth to decide this contest.
Picking this game up in the tenth, Beloit would fail to score in their half of the inning and Beloit would load the bases in the bottom half to maximize their chances at getting an out at the plate after a leadoff single to put runners on first and third.
Moments later, Livan Soto would hit a sacrifice fly to score the game winning run for Burlington going on to clinch the 1-0 victory for the Bees.
For the Snappers on the mound, they got an outstanding day on the bump from the duo of Angello Infante and Jhenderson Hurtado who did not give up an earned run.
Infante for the start this evening tossing 5 innings of shutout baseball before being relieved in the sixth inning. Infante would leave the game tied at 0 after punching out 3 and surrendering just 2 measly hits.
Hurtado would be first and last out of the bullpen and was terrific. Hurtado will be tabbed with the tough loss after the runner that started on second in the tenth came home to score. Hurtado would end the night with four and a third strong innings striking out 5 and giving up 2 hits.
Beloit will be back in action tomorrow to finish out the series against Burlington before heading over to Peoria. Beloit will next be home this weekend for the final 3 games of the year with Fan Appreciation Night presented by Ho-Chunk Nation on Saturday with a great Fireworks show.
