Marks Named MWL Pitcher Of The Week
Snappers starting pitcher Wyatt Marks was named Midwest League Pitcher of the Week earlier this week by league and minor league baseball officials. He becomes the second Snappers pitcher to win Pitcher of the Week honors this year, as Bryce Conley did so earlier this season

Marks, 22, receives his first Pitcher of the Week honor for his efforts from the week of June 11-18. During that span, Marks made just one start but could arguably be the best pitching performance of his young career.
The former University of Louisiana-Lafayette Rajin' Cajun tossed seven scoreless innings against the Peoria Chiefs on June 14. The right-hander surrendered just two hits while striking out seven batters.
For Marks, it was his third quality start of the season, but did not factor into the decision. On the season, Marks is 3-5 with a 4.15 ERA and leads the Midwest League with 86 strikeouts.
He was recently named to his first career All-Star appearance, as he represented the Western Division in Tuesday's All-Star game in Lansing, MI. The 13th round pick went just 0.1 innings in the East's 3-2 victory.
