July 31, 2020

July 24th: Matt Chapman triples for his first hit of the season

Before Matt Olson stole the show in the 10th (more on that in a minute), Chappy gave the A's a temporary lead. Don't worry, we hear they got it back.

July 24th: Matt Olson's walk-off grand slam

The A's and Angels made history on Opening Day as the first Major League beneficiaries of free baserunners. We have to assume it makes no difference to Matt.

July 25th: Kyle Finnegan's MLB Debut

How's this for a big-league debut: closing out a 9-2 win over the Yankees by inducing a ground ball double play off the bat of Aaron Judge. Not bad at all.

July 26th: Brandon Bailey's MLB Debut

In March, Brandon Bailey was a returned Rule V draft pick. In June, he was a non-roster invitee. Today, he's a big leaguer. Not half bad for the 2017 Snapper who posted ridiculous numbers as a starter in Beloit.

July 29th: Eddie Rosario homers vs. Cards

The sky is blue, grass is green, and the Twins hit home runs. 2012 Snapper Eddie Rosario, who mashed a career-high 32 homers in 2019, got right back to it on Wednesday.

July 29th: Aaron Hicks launches first homer of 2020

In case you somehow hadn't heard, the Yankees love Camden Yards. 2009-'10 Snapper Aaron Hicks is no exception. With the Yankees already up 3-1, Hicks' first homer of the season nearly left the yard altogether.
