The Beloit Snappers (18-20) continue their homestand with a four-game series against the Peoria Chiefs (22-18) starting on Monday.

The Snappers are coming off a 3-2 victory over the Quad Cities River Bandits on Sunday. Beloit won the final two games of the three-game series and sit in sixth place in the Western division.
Tied 2-2 in the seventh inning, Trace Loehr dropped an RBI single to score Hunter Hargrove and put the Snappers ahead for good.
The Chiefs are tied for first place in the Western division. The St. Louis Cardinals affiliate took two of three against the Kane County Cougars over the weekend. This is the first time this season the Snappers open back-to-back series against first place teams.
Starting for the Snappers will be right-hander Mitchell Jordan. Jordan (1-0, 1.80) will make just his second start of the season. Jordan picked up the win against Wisconsin on May 16th, going four innings, surrendering zero earned runs and registering four strikeouts.
The Chiefs will send right-hander Paul Balestrieri to the mound. Balestrieri (1-1, 4.70) earned a win his last start against Clinton on May 16th. The righty threw four innings of two-hit ball, no runs and two strikeouts.
Hunter Hargrove continued his great May by hitting in his 15th straight game, getting a single in the seventh and coming around to score. A Mickey McDonald double in the sixth extended the extra-base team hitting streak to 25 games.
Monday's Game will feature the WJVL/WCLO Monster Deal Monday. Two General Admission tickets, two hot dogs, two fountain soft drinks, two popcorns, & two adjustable hats, all for just $26. That's a savings of more than $40, thanks to WJVL & WCLO. All 12-oz. domestic drafts are just $1.50.
The Beloit Snappers are a member of the Midwest League and have been the Single-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics since 2013. For more ticket information, contact the Snappers office at (608) 362-2272 or on our website, www.snappersbaseball.com.
