Snappers Look To End Home Losing Streak

Snappers Have Lost Their Last Five Games At Home

The Beloit Snappers (16-20) will host the Quad Cities River Bandits (23-17) in game two of their weekend series at Pohlman Field. First pitch is scheduled for Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

On the bump for the Snappers will be right-hander Xavier Altamirano. Altamirano (1-2, 3.67) earned a loss his last outing on May 14th at the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers after surrendering eight runs in 5.2 innings.
The River Bandits will send out right-hander Peter Solomon (1-1, 2.45). Solomon earned a no decision at Cedar Rapids on the 14th in three innings of one run ball and six strikeouts.
The Snappers fell Friday night 3-2 in game one. The Snappers were only able to bring home runs in two innings and struggled bringing runners on base back home, going 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position.
One of the biggest contributors for the Snappers was center fielder Austin Beck, who went 2-for-4 with an RBI double in the ninth inning to cut the deficit to one.
Left-hander Josh Reagan got the start for Beloit and went three innings scoreless innings. Projected starter Wyatt Marks came on in the fourth and surrendered three earned runs in the inning. He would finish out the rest of the game scoreless.
First baseman Hunter Hargrove was able to extend his team-high hitting streak to 13 games on a fourth inning double. His double also extended the team extra-base hit streak to 23 games.
