With most schools moving to online coursework, the Biloxi Shuckers are committed to continuing their 'Hit the Books' program for 2020. As a result, the Shuckers are launching the 'Hit the Books At Home' program. Students can download a 'Hit the Books' bookmark and have parents initial for every book that their child reads. Once students have completed six books, students can bring their completed bookmark to the MGM Park Box office to exchange it for a free Shuckers ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket of equal value to select Shuckers games once the MGM Park Box Office has reopened and it is safe to travel to the ballpark.
Any questions about the 'Hit the Books at Home' program can be directed to Kelsey Thompson at [email protected].
This offseason, the Biloxi Shuckers distributed over 16,000 bookmarks to 33 schools across the Mississippi Coast. Children from grades Kindergarten through 8th are eligible to participate in the 'Hit The Books' program presented by Chevron.
