Barons Lose Third Game of the Series

The Biloxi Shuckers scored 12 runs in the sixth inning to go onto a 14-6 win at Regions Field on Thursday night. The Barons led 2-1 going into the top of the sixth inning where the game turned as the Shuckers scored their 12 runs in that sixth inning.

The Barons (2-1) walked 13 runners and had a hit by pitch in that historic sixth inning. In 2019, the Barons walked 12 batters in a game but had 16 total walks in this game.

Biloxi (1-2) scored first in the game when Cam Devanney singled in Ryan Aguilar in the second inning to give the Shuckers an early 1-0 lead.

The Barons took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning on a Romy Gonzalez home run. The second run of the inning came when Jameson Fisher singled in Carlos Perez. With the two runs, the Barons took the 2-1 lead.

In the sixth inning, Biloxi scored 12 runs on only one hit as the Barons gave up seven walks that pushed across runs in that inning.

In the seventh inning, Biloxi scored a run and the Barons scored three runs. Craig Dedelow homered to deep right field. Zach Remillard singled to score Zack Granite and Micker Adolfo homers for his first of the season.

Alec Hanson took the loss in relief going 0.1 innings giving up five runs on one hit and four walks with one strikeout.

Starter Kade McClure pitched a solid five innings giving up only one run on seven hits striking out six batters with only one walk.
