CHATTANOOGA, Ten. - After leading early, 2-1, The Biscuits (76-61) would fall to the Chattanooga Lookouts (88-49) on an Edgar Corcino walk-off single in the eleventh on Friday night at AT&T Field, 3-2. Montgomery has now lost 17 of their 22 games against Chattanooga this season.
Génesis Cabrera made his 11th start of the year for the Butter and Blue and was solid, going five innings and surrendering just one run on four hits with a walk and five strikeouts in a no-decision. The only-run off the left-hander, however, came on a Lamonte Wade sac fly in the first.
After trailing 1-0 in the first, The Biscuits would grab their first and only lead of the game on a Jake Cronenworth two-run single in the fifth after Justin Williams led off the inning with a single and Mac James drew a walk off Lookouts starter Dereck Rodríguez.
Wade's single would tie it at two in the eighth, and after neither team could bring across a run in the ninth and 10th innings, the Lookouts would deliver the final blow on a walk-off single by Edgar Corcino off Kyle Winkler (3-2) in the 11th inning.
The Biscuits will try to put the loss behind them, and aim to tie the 2006 and 2015 teams for the second-most wins in Biscuits History (77) in game three of the series when Anthony Misiewicz (3-1) tangoes with D.J. Baxendale (0-0) on Saturday night at 6:15 PM CT.
