Bisons team up with Consumer's Beverages to launch all new 'Consumer's Pub at the Park, featuring Buffalocal' at Coca-Cola Field

Ballpark restaurant to be transformed into new destination for fans of great Baseball and Craft Beer

By Buffalo Bisons | June 30, 2017 1:02 PM ET

In the continuation of a partnership that has made Coca-Cola Field the destination for great-tasting, locally-brewed craft beers, the Bisons and Consumer's Beverages have announced the transformation of the ballpark's restaurant to the ALL-NEW Consumer's Pub at the Park, featuring Buffalocal.

The Consumer's Pub at the Park will be on the mezzanine level on the first base side of Coca-Cola Field, taking over for the former Pettibones Grille restaurant. In addition to a re-vamped 'pub-style' menu, the Consumer's Pub at the Park will feature Buffalocal beers and beverages from a number of local breweries including Resurgence, Big Ditch, Flying Bison, 12 Gates, 42 North, Labatt, New York Beer Project, Buffalo Brewing Company, Pearl Street Brewing, as well as Blackbird Cider.

This exciting launch of the Consumer's Pub at the Park is yet another collaboration between the Bisons and Consumer's Beverages to bring great-tasting craft beers to fans. In 2010, the partners launched the Ballpark Brew Bash craft-beer tasting event that will return for an eighth consecutive year on September 23, 2017 (ballparkbrewbash.com). In 2011, Consumer's Craft Beer Corner by the Swan St. gate of the ballpark made its debut as a fan-favorite location, especially during the Resurgence Brewing 'Happy Hour' before Honda fridaynightbash!® games.

"Consumer's Beverages has been a tremendous partner for so many years and we're looking forward to providing our fans with a new favorite locale to enjoy the many fabulous craft beers and beverages that are brewed right here in the Buffalo area," said Robert Free, Vice President of Food and Beverage for the Bisons. "This new venture continues the Bisons traditions of bringing the best local foods and beverages into the ballpark for our fans to enjoy. More so, this collaboration will feature many special and unique events at the Consumer's Pub at the Park in the fall and winter months."

"With our long-time partnership with the Buffalo Bisons and our dedication to Buffalo Beer, it was a natural fit to bring an idea like this to the ballpark. I think we have something really unique here and it helps showcase all of the tremendous talent that exists in the region. We're proud to be known as Buffalo's Beer Store and this allows us to participate in Buffalo's upswing on a different level than we're used to. It's a really exciting opportunity for us and most importantly, it's fun," said Neil Kavanaugh, owner of Consumer's Beverages.

While the transformation of Pettibones Grille into the Consumer's Pub at the Park takes place, the restaurant will continue to serve as a spot for Bisons fans to enjoy dinner and drinks before and during Bisons home games. The restaurant opens two hours before every game and reservations can be made by calling (716) 846-2100.
