Happ has not pitched for the Blue Jays during the 2014 regular season after being placed on the disabled list in spring training with lower back tightness. He did make one rehab start with Single-A Dunedin last Friday, allowing two runs in five innings while striking out five in a win over Clearwater.

Happ also had an MLB injury rehabilitation assignment with the Bisons in 2013, joining the club on July 23. In three starts, he was 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 13.1 innings of work.

Happ has pitched in the big leagues in each of the last seven seasons and is a career 40-42 with a 4.25 ERA in 134 major league games with Philadelphia, Houston and the Blue Jays. The southpaw was 5-7 with a 4.56 ERA in 18 starts for Toronto last season.
