March 14, 2013

The Toronto Blue Jays today announced that they have optioned INF LARS ANDERSON to the Buffalo Bisons.

Anderson, 25, played eight exhibition games with the Blue Jays this spring and hit .357 (5-14) with three doubles and three RBI. He also drew three walks for a .471 on-base percentage and a .571 slugging percentage.

Over the last three seasons at Triple-A, Anderson has collected 90 doubles, 33 home runs and 190RBI in 360 games. A noted-Bisons killer, Anderson is a career .291 hitter with 17 extra-base hits and 27RBI in 36 games against the Herd.
