The Bisons fired on all cylinders in the seventh to grab a win over Toledo, 5-2, on Friday night at Fifth-Third Field.
With the game knotted up at two apiece, Jon Berti began the string of seventh inning success with his third triple of the season on a liner to centerfield. After a single from Roemon Fields to put runners on the corners, Christian Lopes batted a line drive to left field for a double to score both Berti and Fields. To add the final score of the night, Jake Elmore batted a sac fly to Toledo's Tyler Collins in right field to bring home Lopes from third, giving the Herd a 5-2 edge.
Buffalo went scoreless up until the fifth inning. With Berti and Fields on base after a force out and a single, Lopes tacked on the first Herd score to tie the game with a grounder to left field to plate Berti. The Bisons brought the game to an even playing field again an inning later after singles from Michael Saunders and Rowdy Tellez when Danny Jansen brought Saunders to home plate with a single to left field.

The Mud Hens' only scores of the day came in the lead-off and fifth innings respectively. Scoring Omar Infante in the first was a Bryan Holaday double to left field. In the fifth, Jeimer Candelario took a 1-2 count over Brett Oberholtzer and singled to right field to score Brendan Ryan from third base to take a 2-1 lead.
Oberholtzer reeled in another quality six-inning start for the Herd. The southpaw allowed nine hits on the evening and the only two runs before calling it a day. Tim Mayza had a strong two innings of relief with just a hit and a walk to his name. John Stilson closed the game out in scoreless relief.
