Preparing for their second season of fan-pleasing baseball at Pensacola's Bayfront Stadium, the Cincinnati Reds Double-A affiliate Blue Wahoos are putting out a casting call for any entertainers wanting to be part of the pre-game and in-game entertainment.

As part of the audition process, Pensacola's next stars are asked to register for the second annual Pensacola's Got Talent  event, to be held on Saturday, February 23 from 10am to 2pm.  The event will be hosted at the Bayfront Stadium, and the Blue Wahoos will hold open auditions for entertainers to win a chance to:

  • Sing the National Anthem
  • Perform pre-game (on-field or outside the main gates)
  • Work as a Street Team member or on-field Emcee
  • Perform during the 7th-Inning Stretch
  • Be part of the Blue Wahoos Entertainment throughout the season

The Blue Wahoos have made fan satisfaction and entertainment a priority, according to Andrew Demsky, Creative Services Manager for the team.  "Every game we work to make sure we're giving the fans a great value - whether it's great baseball, fantastic food, or a full nine innings or more of family-friendly entertainment," said Demsky.

"We found out last year that the Pensacola area has some amazing, impressive, and sometimes odd-but-unique talent, and we look forward to putting on a great show again this year.  So whether you think you can dance, want to be the voice or the idol, or can juggle while riding a unicycle, and anything in between, sign up and show us your talent," said Demsky.

Interested entertainers will need to pre-register for one of the tryout slots, by emailing Demsky  Applicants should include their name, age, phone number, email address, and specify their talent.  Selected candidates will be contacted to schedule a time for auditions.
