Jersey Auction Part of ClawStar Spectacular

Special jerseys feature beach scene; auction proceeds to benefit BlueClaws Charities
June 4, 2013

LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws have unveiled plans for a jersey auction coinciding with the 2013 ClawStar Spectacular, held on June 17th and 18th at FirstEnergy Park.

Each player and coach on each team (50 players and six coaches) plus celebrities participating in the June 17th Celebrity Hitting Challenge, will receive a jersey. They will be worn by everyone at the Celebrity Hitting Challenge and during batting practice at the June 18th All-Star Game.

These jerseys will be auctioned off, via a silent auction, at both the Celebrity Hitting Challenge and SAL All-Star Game, with all proceeds benefitting BlueClaws Charities and their Community Partners. Fans can bid at either or both events, but bidding will close at the end of the 7th inning in the All-Star Game on June 18th.

Tickets: To order tickets for these two events, call 732-901-7000 option 2 or click the appropriate link (Celebrity Hitting Challenge, All-Star Game).

Each jersey says ClawStar Spectacular on the chest and features a black and white Seaside Heights beach scene. The jerseys have either blue sleeves and borders (for the Northern Division All-Stars) or red sleeves and borders (for the Southern Division All-Stars). The right sleeve features the 2013 All-Star Game logo while the left sleeve features the South Atlantic League logo.

During the All-Star Game itself, players will wear their regular team jerseys, with players from the North in home whites and players from the South in road grays.

BlueClaws Charities, a 501c3 organization, works with over 40 local organizations as part of their Community Partners Program. These local non-profits receive grants at the end of each year.
