Rupp Goes "From the Shore to the Show"

57th former BlueClaw to appear in big league game

LAKEWOOD, NJ - 2011 BlueClaws catcher Cameron Rupp made his big league debut on September 10th, going 1-4 and in the process became the 57th BlueClaw to go From the Shore, to the Show.

Rupp was drafted by the Phillies in the 3rd round of the 2010 draft from the University of Texas, and spent 2011 with the BlueClaws, hitting .272 with 4 home runs and 44 RBIs. After a 2012 season in Clearwater, Rupp split 2013 between Reading and Lehigh Valley, hitting a combined .258 with 14 home runs and 45 RBIs.

He is the 8th former BlueClaw to debut this year, and joins RHP Jonathan Pettibone (2010) and OF Steve Susdorf (2009) as the 3rd former BlueClaw to debut with the Phillies this year. One (2009 C Travis d'Aranud) has debuted with the Mets, one (2007 C Tuffy Gosewisch) has debuted with Arizona, while three (2010 SS Jonathan Villar, 2010 RHP Josh Zeid, and 2010 RHP Jarred Cosart) have all debuted with Houston.
