Sixto Sanchez, who spent most of the season with the BlueClaws, is a candidate for Breakout Prospect (vote here) of the year. Sanchez, who turned 19 on July 29th, went 5-3 with a 2.41 ERA with the BlueClaws this year, striking out 64 and walking just nine in 67.1 innings pitched. He allowed one run in his last 17 innings with the BlueClaws before a promotion to Clearwater, where he finished the season.

The Phillies farm system is nominated for Best Farm System (vote here) of 2017. They have seven top-100 prospects -- only Atlanta boasts more -- and got breakout seasons from Scott Kingery (26 homers and 29 steals with Gold Glove defense at second) and Rhys Hoskins (18 homers in his first 34 MLB games), while J.P. Crawford rebounded with a strong second half in Triple-A. Kingery, Hoskins, and Crawford are all former BlueClaws. Of the MLB Pipeline Top 30 Prospects, seven played for the BlueClaws in 2017.
Finally, Nick Fanti is nominated for Best Individual Performance (vote here) after the left-hander threw a nine-inning no-hitter in a July 17th win over Charleston at FirstEnergy Park. Fanti walked the sixth batter of the game and got the last 22 outs in a row to complete the second nine-inning no-hitter in BlueClaws history (but first in a win, as Gavin Floyd lost his nine-inning no-hitter as a BlueClaw in 2002). Fanti was a part of another no-hitter this year. He got 26 of 27 outs in a May 6th combined no-hitter with Trevor Bettencourt at Columbia.
