Clean sweep of Danville; Jays win six in a row

BLUEFIELD--- Jesus Severino and Juliandry Higuera were the heroes of the doubleheader against the Danville Braves.

In Game 1 with two outs and the score tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 7th, shortstop Jesus Severino hit his first professional home run to give the Jays the walk-off 5-2 victory. Stuart Holmes got the win for the Jays to improve to 1-0, while Brandon White was handed the loss for Danville.

Bluefield completed the sweep with a 2-1 win in Game 2. Juliandry Higuera fanned 9 batters in his 6.0 IP and only allowed five hits and one earned run. Connor Eller earned his fourth save on the season. The only two runs were scored on a little league home run for Kalik May in the first. May singled and then came around to score after two throwing errors from the Braves. 

The Blue Jays have now one six in a row, and will play the Princeton Rays at 2:00 PM in Princeton Sunday.
