BOWIE, Md. -- The Hartford Yard Goats turned four double plays en route to a 2-1 win over the Bowie Baysox in front of 2,152 at Prince George's Stadium Friday night. 
Hunter Harvey shined on the mound despite the loss, going into the eighth inning for the first time in his professional career. The righty allowed one earned run on five hits 7 1/3 innings, striking out five batters and walking a pair. Harvey started the night with a ball outside the strike zone, but then threw 18 straight strikes to complete the first time through the order.
Willie Abreu led the Hartford (31-22) offense early, sending the first pitch of the second inning to deep right field and then scored on a wild pitch in the fourth inning to give the visitors a 2-0 lead.
The Baysox (19-34) broke through offensively in the seventh inning, plating a run to cut the deficit to 2-1. Rylan Bannon drove in his 20th run of the season on a grounder to second base to score Mark Trumbo, who singled to lead off the frame for the first of his two hits in his third rehab start this week. 
Bowie and Hartford continue their three-game series Saturday night at 6:35 p.m., when LHP Zac Lowther (4-3, 1.68) squares off with Yard Goats RHP Brandon Gold (5-3, 3.96). Saturday is Star Wars Night at the ballpark, complete with costumed characters and a fireworks show after the game. Before the game, the Baysox host their annual 1K Beer Run on the warning track at approximately 5:40 p.m.
