Eastlake, OH- The Bowling Green Hot Rods and Lake County Captains series opener scheduled for Monday, April 8 has been postponed due to field conditions. The two teams will play a double header on Tuesday beginning at 5:00 PM, 4:00 PM central, with game-one serving as the makeup. Both games will be seven-inning contests.
The Hot Rods enter the series against Lake County with a 2-2 record after splitting the season-opening series with the Dayton Dragons, which wrapped up on Sunday afternoon with a 13-2 victory for Bowling Green. Lake County is coming off a series win against the Great Lakes Loons in which the Captains took three of four games.
Following the double header, the Hot Rods and Captains will play the final two games of the series on Wednesday and Thursday (both 5:30 CDT first pitches) prior to returning to Bowling Green Ballpark for a six-game homestand. The Hot Rods will welcome in the Fort Wayne TinCaps for three games, followed by the Captains for three.
