BRADENTON, FL - For the second straight evening at LECOM Park, the Bradenton Marauders rode a late offensive attack to a victory over the Jupiter Hammerheads. After walking off on Thursday in extras, Bradenton cruised to a 7-1 victory on Friday night in a game that started following a 35 minute rain delay before a big batting night for INF Robbie Glendinning. The Australian was hitless heading in to his third at bat before he clubbed a solo home run to the opposite field in right, and a bases-clearing, three-run triple in the seventh to break the game open.

Jupiter's only run on the road came in the top of the fourth inning off LHP Domingo Robles when Micah Brown singled in a runner from second that was unearned for Robles, who lowered his ERA to 3.13 through four starts. Bradenton tied the contest in the home half of the fifth inning on a Chris Sharpe RBI single, and took their first lead on Glendinning's solo shot in the very next frame. The first five batters coming out of the stretch break all reached and scored, including five runs on five hits when the dust settled after a break out inning that marked the third inning in a row featuring a home score.

Coming out of the bullpen in the seventh inning, LHP Ike Schlabach appeared in his first home outing out of four total and worked a scoreless inning on 21 pitches while allowing a single hit. RHP Blake Cederlind tossed two scoreless innings and stranded the bases loaded in the eighth before setting down the visitors in the ninth inning to send the Marauders to 11-5 on the season, a half game back of division leading Palm Beach.

The Marauders will try to cap off their first sweep of the season on Saturday night on Nickelodeon Night at LECOM Park, with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 and RHP Aaron Shortridge taking the hill for Bradenton.
