CLEARWATER, Fla. - After clinging on to a one run lead in an extra inning victory on Friday, the Bradenton Marauders took the guesswork out of Saturday's contest, as the visitors plated nine consecutive runs between the third and fifth innings in a 9-5 win over Clearwater.

Cam Vieaux took the mound in his second start of the 2018 season, and the lefty earned his second win in as many tries as he tossed five innings and allowed five runs (four earned) and struck out three batters in the victory. After a pair of home runs plated four runs for Clearwater in the bottom of the second inning, the Marauders got on the board in the top of the third on a two run Bligh Madris homer, his second of the year, and another trio of runs in the fourth including Hunter Owen's first home run of the season. After Threshers starter Alejandro Requena was removed from the game to start the fifth inning, Bradenton struck for four runs in the frame, capped off by yet another first long-ball of the season, this time off the bat of Albert Baur.

Clearwater scored a run in the bottom of the fifth, but the score remained stuck at 9-5 from that point on. Bradenton's bullpen churned out yet another strong outing as Bo Schultz continued his perfect 0.00 ERA with a hitless sixth, Ronny Agustin was perfect including three strikeouts through the eighth, and Matt Eckelman penned a swift ninth inning that secured the 9-5 win to keep Bradenton on top of the Florida League South Division by a game over Palm Beach and Jupiter, who both won as well on Saturday.

Bradenton concludes their three game set on the road against Clearwater on Sunday, with a day game scheduled for 1 pm at Spectrum Field. RHP Michael Wallace will make his first start of the season for the Marauders, with Clearwater's starting pitcher TBD.
