BRADENTON, FL - On Pride Night at LECOM Park, the Bradenton Marauders were unable to make the home crowd happy after they were shut out by the Florida Fire Frogs, with a two run road attack in the fifth the only difference in scoring. RHP Gavin Wallace took the loss for Bradenton, even with a six inning quality start with a pair of runs allowed, no walks and two strike outs over 88 pitches not enough as the Marauders were blanked on the scoreboard for the eighth time this season.

The Marauders were able to match Florida hits but had runners on base in six out of nine innings including a pair of doubles from Deon Stafford; the catcher was stranded on second base both times. Other Bradenton two hit performances included Lucas Tancas, who reached base in three out of his four plate appearances, and Adrian Valerio's two single outing.

Even in a loss, Bradenton received a pair of strong outings on the mound including Wallace's efficient start. RHP Shea Murray extended a scoreless streak against him to eight innings on his fourth straight relief outing without allowing a run. Murray fanned six batters over the final three innings of the shutout loss including the last four batters he faced and five of the last six.

The Marauders (47-38) finish their only home series against the Florida Fire Frogs on Sunday after noon, with RHP Max Kranick slated to take the hill for Bradenton in a scheduled 1:00 pm first pitch.
