In the second game of a four game series between the Bradenton Marauders and the visiting Lakeland Flying Tigers, both sides scored double digit runs for the first time in a Bradenton contest on the season as the home team snuck out a one-run win on Tuesday.

Pirates #1 prospect according to Baseball America Mitch Keller started for the Marauders in a tune up outing for the MLB Futures Game on Sunday before the Major League All-Star Game in Washington D.C., and worked through four innings on 73 pitches as the righty gave up two runs, only one of them earned. He was matched on the hill by Tigers top arm Franklin Perez made his first start above the Gulf Coast League in a Tigers uniform after being acquired in the deal that sent Justin Verlander to the Astros late last season. Perez was limited to 63 pitches over just three innings and allowed three hits and two runs with a pair of walks to a strikeout.

After Lakeland plated a pair of runs in the first inning off Keller, Bradenton had the game knotted up by the third inning when Bligh Madris drove a shot over the fence in right field for his seventh home run of the season to tie the game at two. A seven run sixth inning put the visitors up by an 8-4 score, but seven runs between the sixth and seventh frames put the Marauders up for good including an Albert Baur long ball that brought the final score to 11-0 despite a late home run by Isaac Parades for the Flying Tigers to bring the final score to 11-10.
The Marauders continue their four game series at home with the Lakeland Flying Tigers on Wednesday night at 6:30 with LHP Oddy Nunez toeing the slab and opposed by Tigers #3 overall prospect RHP Matt Manning.
