BRADENTON, Fla. - For the third consecutive night at LECOM Park, the Bradenton Marauders dropped a two run decision to the Palm Beach Cardinals, the final of which came on the yearly Mother's Day celebration on Saturday night. Both teams traded runs in the first inning and remained tied until an explosive four run fifth inning for the visitors was enough to withstand a late comeback attempt.

Cardinals shortstop Kramer Robertson was hit by the first pitch of the night thrown by Marauders starter Cam Vieaux and was driven in by a pair of singles. The Marauders matched their foes in the bottom of the initial inning when Jared Oliva walked as the first batter of the inning, stole second, and was driven in on an Albert Baur double down the left field line. Oliva's team leading 19th run scored also marked Baur's team leading 20th RBI on the season.

Vieaux allowed a three run home run to Palm Beach center fielder Johan Mieses with one out in the fifth inning and the blast marked the end of the left-hander's night. The final line on the Bradenton starter ended after 4.1 innings, allowing four runs on sits hits while walking two and striking out four. Four Marauders bullpen arms allowed a single run on just three hits to finish out the game.

Jared Oliva was involved in every scoring play in the loss, finishing the night with seven total bases including his third home run of the season in the final half inning, providing a late offensive spark that ultimately fell short.

Bradenton is off on Mother's Day Sunday before welcoming in the Daytona Tortugas for the first matchup between the team this season. RHP Eduardo Vera starts the first game for Bradenton leading the FSL in innings pitched with 44 heading in to the start.
