DAYTONA BEACH, FL - In the first game of a four game series on the road at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, the Bradenton Marauders claimed an elongated victory over the Daytona Tortugas in a contest that spanned three hours and twenty five minutes including a fifteen minute delay for a fight that took place in the eighth inning and resulted in three ejections.

Bradenton got the scoring started the very first inning when OF Daniel Amaral singled to lead off the contest and later came around to score on an error to make the score 1-0 after one inning. C Deon Stafford clubbed his second home run of the year and in the last four days to lead off the top half of the second inning on a moonshot that traveled an estimated 429 feet over the batting cages in left field and was the first of his eventual four RBIs and three hits on the evening. The Marauders plated at least a run every inning but two, including three runs in the fifth, another tally in the seventh, two in the eighth and another run in the final frame for good measure.
RHP Hunter Stratton started the contest in his first starting nod of the season and worked through four innings and allowed a single run on three hits with five strikeouts mixed in in a no decision. LHP Joe Jacques earned the victory after tossing three innings following Stratton and allowed a single hit with four strikeouts in his first Marauders decision.

The Marauders continue their four game set at "The Jack" in Daytona Beach on Tuesday with Bradenton's starting pitcher TBA and first pitch scheduled for 7:05.
