Sox Release 2013 Schedule

November 19, 2012
Bristol Baseball, Inc. (BBI) and the Bristol Sox have announced the 2013 home schedule of the Bristol Sox.

The 2013 campaign will begin on the road with the 2012 Appalachian League champion Elizabethton Twins June 20-22, with the Sox playing their home opener series June 23-25 against the Kingsport Mets. From there, the Sox will travel to Johnson City for a three-game series, but return home for four games in five days with the Pulaski Mariners. Fireworks Night, which always draws a large crowd, will be held after the final game of that series, Wednesday, July 3.

The Sox will alternate home and away series at the beginning of July, before a six-game homestand with the Johnson City Cardinals and the Twins in mid-July, followed by a six-game road swing.

The Sox will return home to play back-to-back three-game homestands with the Greeneville Astros at the beginning of August, broken up with a one-day trip to Elizabethton, and will close out the season with a six-game homestand, as the Burlington Royals and Princeton Rays visit Bristol at the end of August.

"We are excited to be able to announce our 2013 schedule so early," said Mahlon Luttrell, President of BBI and General Manager for the Bristol Sox. "Our league president, Lee Landers, and the league directors have done a fantastic job of helping us release this schedule so that fans can get ready for the 2013 season. Season tickets are already on sale."

Season tickets may be purchased by emailing the Sox at [email protected].

The ever-popular Meet the Sox Night will be scheduled at Boyce Cox Field for an evening shortly before the start of the season.

The full schedule can be seen online at BristolSox.com, with a list of promotions to follow.
