Blue Jays top prospect Bo Bichette launched a pair of home runs and drove in three to lead the Buffalo Wings past the Knights, 9-6, Wedensday afternoon from Sahlen Field. Patrick Kivlehan and Andy Burns also went deep as the Herd homered four times for the fourth time this season.
Bo Bichette hit his sixth home run of the season to begin the power surge, tying the game at four with a solo shot to right field in the fifth.
Patrick Kivlehan then shortened the Knights' 6-4 lead with a solo longball of his own into the left field netting in the sixth frame. Kivlehan added to his team lead in homers with now 14 in just 46 games with Buffalo.
The home runs weren't done just yet in the sixth as Andy Burns hit one of his own into the left field netting that also scored Richard Ureña to give the Wings a 7-6 lead. It was Burns' tenth home run of the season and eighth at Sahlen Field. The infielder also extended his hitting streak to five games. (6-16, .375 AVG)
Bichette's bat wasn't finished for the day as he launched his second home run of the game- a two-run homer that scored Roemon Fields to give the Wings a 9-6 lead. This was the first time the shortstop has had a multi-home run game in his four-year career and he has now hit four in 15 games this month alone.
Similar to Monday night's slugfest, it was a back and forth affair from the beginning. Buffalo plated three runs in the second inning after giving up a run in the first, which was just how the first game of the series began. After two quick outs on Wednesday, Andy Burns reach base on a walk. Jordan Patterson followed with a single before Michael De La Cruz reached on an error that also saw Burns cross the plate. Roemon Fields then drove in Patterson and De La Cruz with a double to the left field corner.

Out of the bullpen for Buffalo, Kirby Snead, Zach Jackson and Jason Adam combined to give up just two hits and four walks in 3.1 innings. It was Snead's third win of the season in a Buffalo uniform while Adam picked up his first save of 2019 and just his fifth save of his career.
The series wraps up tomorrow evening at 7:05 p.m. as Italian Festival Night will be celebrated at the ballpark.
BISONS NOTES: This was the fourth time this season that Buffalo has hit four home runs in a game, they had one four-home run game and one six-home run game last season. Each of the games in 2019 has seen one batter collect two of the four longballs. Besides Bichette's home runs this afternoon, Alen Hanson accomplished this feat on May 24th in Lehigh Valley, Patrick Kivlehan on June 2nd in Rochester and again on June 24th in Pawtucket. Jonathan Davis also had a pair of longballs on June 24th as well against the PawSox.
